Skiatook, OK The customer originally called Golden Rule Plumbing and Drains to replace an inline booster pump that had previously been installed in an attempt to correct low water pressure throughout the property. Before replacing the pump, we evaluated the plumbing system and discovered an existing pressure reducing valve (PRV) at the water meter. Further diagnosis determined that the PRV had failed and was restricting water flow and pressure—the booster pump was never the real solution. Instead of replacing unnecessary equipment, we corrected the source of the problem by replacing the failed PRV, restoring proper water pressure and eliminating the need for the booster pump altogether. Proper diagnosis allowed us to provide the customer with the right solution rather than simply replacing equipment that wasn’t addressing the actual problem.

Skiatook, OK The customer contacted Golden Rule Plumbing and Drains after discovering signs of a water leak around the bathtub area. After diagnosing the plumbing system, we located the source of the leak behind the tub insert where it was not readily visible. Access was gained to the affected plumbing, the failed component was repaired, and the system was tested to verify the leak had been eliminated. This project is a good example of why properly diagnosing hidden plumbing leaks is important—water leaking behind walls and tub surrounds can go unnoticed and potentially cause significant damage if left unresolved.
